Program Options for Summer Camps
As you may have seen from the brochure and other information that has gone out, Timberline is responding to feedback from our campers and families and changing the format of our activities. The idea is to provide campers more time and better instruction in the activities they like best. Each camper will now do a series of 12 Core Activities (see list below), plus they will be able to choose two Specialty Options if they are in the longer camps.
Here are some important things to know about the Specialty Options:
- Specialty Options will each run for an hour a day for four consecutive days.
- Specialty Options will be chosen at the time of registration, on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There will be no waiting lists for Specialty Options. However, anyone wanting a change may do so on the first day of camp as availability exists. Refunds will not be issued in the case of less expensive options being taken at that time.
- Only one barn option may be chosen per camper (however, they may choose 2 non-barn options). Anyone with two barn options chosen will be moved into something else that has room.
- Some Specialty Options will cost a little extra, due to the cost of running the activities (in spite of much increased costs this past year, we have kept our base fees the same price as last year).
- Some Specialty Options will give campers an opportunity to perform their new skills in the Rodeo at the end of the week (as in the cases of Riding Lessons, Drill Team, or Vaulting), or on stage (as in the case of the Drama option).
