Timberline Camp Tours*
Timberline Ranch is pleased to now offer free, personalized tours of our facilities. Reservations are mandatory, and all are welcome.
The scheduled 2008 dates are on Sundays as follows: April 13, May 4, and June 1.
Tours will begin at 3:00 and 4:00 (more may be added) and last approximately 45-60 minutes. There will be up to 30 people per tour. The tours include:
- A walk around the camp (rain or shine):
- Dining Hall
- Petting Zoo
- Climbing wall
- Barn and Horses
- Campfire Area
- Challenge Course
- Archery and Riflery Ranges
- Cabin and Pool Areas
- Scavenger hunt for kids during walk
- Light refreshments back at Dining Hall
- Short talk on "Timberline: Moving Ahead in 2008"
- Q & A with Staff

*Please note that these tours will replace Open House for 2008. Staff & Board agreed that Open House was no longer serving our needs, nor was it entirely successful in 2007 for everyone who came, primarily due to the extreme increase of visitors. Normally, we had seen about 1200-1500, and in 2007 over 2300 came, while many others turned away when they saw that they would have to park 2 kilometers away. Though we had over 100 volunteers putting in a full day (plus many who came a day early to set up), lines for many things were more than an hour long. Originally, Open House was designed for recruiting campers, but now, by the time Open House comes, we are generally almost 100% full. Our new vision includes new ways of serving our community, including these Camp Tours for 2008. We hope that people will understand.
